Planned Generator Maintenance – London Data Hall 1 & Data Hall 2 – At Risk Notification

Please be aware of the following planned maintenance window for generator maintenance at our London Facility. This notification is for all customers with dedicated servers and co-location services at our London site.
As part of a planned upgrade process to our generator systems engineers are going to be installing new generator sets into our London site.
Work is scheduled to be carried out during the following maintenance window:
Monday 24th March 2017, commencing at 10:30 GMT and ending by 15:30 GMT.
Tuesday 25th March 2017, commencing at 09:30 GMT and ending by 14:30 GMT.
The “At Risk” window will be kept to an absolute minimum and the redundant power systems will be returned to full resilience at the earliest opportunity.
None – There will be no planned service impact, this is an advisory note, backup power will remain available at all times during this maintenance.
Power will remain unaffected to customer racks, but with reduced resiliency during the maintenance period.
However as with all work of this nature the will an “At Risk” notification is being sent out.
The maintenance will be completed by a specialist 3rd party and complete power protection will be restored upon completion of the maintenance. Additional NextPointHost engineers will be deployed to this site for the duration of the maintenance and customer access will be limited to emergency datacentre visits only during this period.
This work is being carried out as the first part of a two stage process to improve redundancy of power systems at our London site.
